Nordic Adoption Council NAC offers a webinar on adopted children’s language development for adoptive parents and applicants as well as professionals. Lena Santamarta Höglund is a speech therapist from Stockholm with a lot of experience from working with adopted children’s language development. Lena is from Uruguay and came to Sweden as a young girl. This gave her experience of learning Swedish as a new language from when she was a child. She is also an adoptive mother of two, now grown-up girls from Colombia. In the webinar Lena will speak about adopted children’s language development in connection with changing languages. She will also give concrete tips on how adoptive parents can think about children who change languages, adapted to the age when the change takes place.
