Interpedia’s development cooperation and sponsorship programs in Thailand
Thailand has developed quickly because of industrialization, but the distribution of income and wealth is more unequal than elsewhere in South-East Asia. Poor families still have difficulties in getting access to basic services. Some villages in the countryside do not have schools and children are often needed to help at home or as agricultural labor.
We work so that the children in Thailand’s remote rural areas have access to school and education. We support the poorest families by providing them with school admission fees and tutoring. We also support the education of the most motivated children until university level or until they have a profession. We aim to promote communities and families so that they would support their children’s education.
